Membership

Thank you for your interest in joining the New Zealand Pain Society. We are a multidisciplinary community bringing together basic scientists, health professionals, and others dedicated to improving the management pain across Aotearoa New Zealand.

Membership year runs 1st April to 31st March. There is no discount for part years.

Membership Eligibility:

We welcome applicants who share a commitment to our mission. To be eligible for membership, you must possess a real and substantial interest in our objectives and be of good character and personal repute.

Registered health professionals or scientists who are members of the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) or hold a relevant qualification from a recognised tertiary educational institution.

Students enrolled in full-time training at a recognised tertiary institution.

Full-time retired registered health professionals or scientists.

Any company that satisfies the Council that it has a real and substantial interest in the objectives of the Society. Corporate members shall not be entitled to vote on matters brought before the membership.

How to Apply & Membership Fees

  • Submit Your Application: Complete the online application process via this link.
  • You will need a Google Account to complete the application process. If you have an existing Gmail you can use this, if you have a non-Gmail email you can create/use a Google Account with your existing preferred email address - this will be the email you will use to access our upcoming Google Site and Shared Resources.
  • Processing time: Applications are typically reviewed within one week, however may take up to 28 days.
  • Invoice and confirmation: If your application is accepted, we will issue an invoice for your subscription. Please note that membership is not confirmed until payment is received.
