Dr Louise Lynch
Dr Louise Lynch qualified as a doctor from Leeds University Medical School in 1987 with a BSc(Hons) in chemical pathology. She become a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists and then a Fellow of the Faculty of Pain Medicine, ultimately working as a “consultant in chronic pain management with a special interest in cancer pain management” at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Her particular interest was in using fully implanted intrathecal pumps for cancer pain management, which were funded by the NHS. Her practice in the UK was largely biomedical and intervention based.
She left the UK in 2018 to work as Clinical Leader in Pain Management for Wellington Regional Hospital where they run a largely non-biomedical, non-interventional chronic pain practice with a full compliment of both medics and allied health professionals.
