IASP The International Association for the Study of Pain The IASP was founded in 1973.  It is the world’s largest multidisciplinary organisation that is focussed specifically on pain research and treatment.  It currently has more than 6500 members worldwide and the NZPS is the New Zealand Chapter of this organisation. Vision Statement: Working together for pain relief throughout the world. Mission Statement: IASP brings together scientists, clinicians, healthcare providers, and policy makers to stimulate and support the study of pain and to translate that knowledge into improved pain relief worldwide.
